When families begin exploring care options for an aging loved one, one of the first and most important questions is about cost. The cost of home care in Broward and Palm Beach counties can vary depending on the type of care, the number of hours required, and the level of experience required for the client.
Senior Pros is committed to connecting families throughout the Broward and Palm Beach communities with compassionate, dependable in-home caregivers.
Rates for caregivers referred through Senior Pros generally range from $16 to $42 per hour, including the registry fee, depending on the level of care, number of hours per week, and any specialized training the client’s needs call for. Most hourly arrangements fall between $28 and $34 per hour, and live-in arrangements can be as low as $14 per hour.
Senior Pros: Typical Home Care Costs

Because Senior Pros is an independent, locally owned nurse registry with no franchise fees or royalties to pass along, clients pay less and more of each dollar stays with the caregiver.
Families of clients who use 18 or more hours of referred care each week can add Care Pods at no charge. The pods alert the family to changes that may be worth discussing with a doctor. You and your caregiver agree on a care plan and schedule.
Each caregiver referred by Senior Pros is licensed or certified and meets all state requirements, including a Level 2 state and federal background check, mandatory communicable disease testing, CPR training, Alzheimer’s/Dementia training, and most caregivers have additional training in specific areas.
All caregivers speak fluent English, and most can provide transportation to doctor appointments, shopping, social events, etc. in their car or the client’s.
Senior Pros is a licensed Florida nurse registry. We refer independent-contractor caregivers to clients; the client and caregiver decide whether to work together and agree on the services and schedule.
Senior Pros accepts private pay and most long-term care insurance. We can help open your LTC claim and bill your insurance company directly.
We will help you balance your needs and budget so you and your caregiver can agree on a care plan. We offer several convenient payment options.
- Rates can be quoted over the phone and confirmed after an in-home consultation.
- We do not require a long-term contract or a minimum number of service days. Clients are billed after service is provided, and the client can cancel at any time with a phone call.
- Caregivers referred through Senior Pros are independent contractors. The client and caregiver agree on the services and schedule; no overtime premiums or shift differentials are charged by the registry.
- Rates are for one person in the home. There are no overnight or weekend surcharges.
- Caregivers who use their own car to transport a client or run errands are reimbursed by the client at $0.80/mile. (No charge if driving the client’s car.)
- We won’t surprise you with extra charges, upcharges, service charges, or any other blah, blah, blah charges!
Live-in or 24 Hour Care?
If 24-hour support is needed, we can explain live-in and two 12-hour referral options so you and the caregiver can decide what fits. Live-in care can be dramatically less expensive than 24-hour care, but it may not be appropriate for clients who are sundowning, not sleeping, or who use the bathroom more than a few times per night.

Important Considerations About Home Care
Many seniors strongly prefer to age in place. However, families should understand how care needs affect cost and scheduling:
- Monthly costs increase as hours of care increase · 24-hour care requires a team of rotating caregivers or the client’s willingness to allow a live-in caregiver.
- Homes may require safety modifications.
- Advanced medical needs may require coordination with skilled nursing providers or a Care Manager.
